LAMB.COM is a strategic design consulting firm concentrating on brand planning/design, creative direction and graphic design with a special emphasis on photographic production (both still and motion). LAMB.COM provides its clients, (and its own projects) with creative graphic design and production services using the most current digital authoring, internet distribution / presentation tools.
Founder and Creative Director Larry Lamb’s vision derives from 30 years on the creative and technological vanguard of the advertising production industry. LAMB.COM’s projects are distinguished in the marketplace by proficient and innovative use of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Power Point among other software tools. LAMB.COM developed internal branded identities and related communication materials, display systems, and visual merchandising for Target’s Innovation Team, Best Buy’s Biz Builder Channel and the Minneapolis Public Library. These, and numerous additional projects, can be viewed at www.lamb.com. Most recently, LAMB.COM is developing a high quality and low cost film production process for HD internet distribution.
Operational Duties and Responsibilities:
As principal design director, Larry Lamb personally oversees all aspects of each project including client relations, design, production, final implementation and maintenance.

The Game Research And Virtual Environment Lab is the result of the University of Minnesota’s Institute for New Media’s interest in creating nontraditional applications of highly sophisticated software from the video game industry.
Larry Lamb served as Fellow and an advisor to the Director, Nora Paul, and as a founding member of the GRAVEL Steering Committee.

LambSoft, a venture capital backed spin-off of Lamb&Company, successfully developed and marketed animation software products – ProMotion, MoveTools and Smirk. LambSoft was granted two pioneering patents and numerous awards related to the development of ProMotion.
LambSoft developed a patent-pending authoring and presentation software product and platform called ShowM-e. This innovative product utilized real-time Internet game technology to create 3D commercial spaces where users interact with true-to-life personalities in a multi-user, online setting. ShowM-e enabled virtual malls with virtual sales consultants on the Internet in real-time. Focused applications included e-marketing, e-commerce and e-tailing.
Operational Duties and Responsibilities:
As founder and visionary, Larry Lamb, guided all aspects of business development and operations including formulation of the business plan, investor presentations and funding, public speaking, press relations, accounting and legal supervision, staff and facilities executive management, product specification and packaging, client and investor relations, as well as national and international sales and marketing oversight. Lamb&Company, founded and directed by Larry Lamb, pioneered in the world of 3D animation and computer graphics production. It was at the forefront of innovation in the technological and creative development of computer animation and digital effects for advertising, film and broadcast worldwide, for two decades. Lamb&Company was an early adopter and innovator of software and production systems. Additionally, its innovations in animation methodologies greatly increased production efficiencies, which reduced production costs. These innovations have been embraced worldwide.
Lamb&Company was the development partner and first licensee of Wavefront Technologies, Inc., producer of the world’s first commercial animation software tools product. Lamb&Company was one of the first in the world to use, and the first to perfect motion capture technology (the use of digitally recorded live performance to gesture an animated character’s motion). Lamb&Company was the first to employ Discreet Logic’s Flame visual effects system, which has revolutionized the advertising production and film businesses.
Lamb&Company created “The Incredible Crash Dummies” (Fox) the first 3D, computer-generated, long format network TV program in the U.S. Completion in six months, a real feat in 1992, was due to creative and innovative uses of technology, and productivity management tools and methods developed at Lamb&Company.
’Huzzah”, directed by Larry Lamb and produced by Lamb&Company in 1996, received national and international acclaim and numerous awards. This short film was the world’s first successful full-body performance capture for use on a digital actor. “Huzzah” gave rise to a new production process and work flow for character animation.
Lamb&Company served as a training ground for over a hundred animation professionals now working in leading animation production companies around the world.
Operational Duties and Responsibilities:
As founder, president and creative director, Larry Lamb defined the company style and culture, guided all aspects of business development and operations, and provided the vision for Lamb&Company’s hundreds of animation and live action productions.
His responsibilities included executive management of a staff of 30+ as well as 5 national and 3 international sales representatives, client relations, public presentations, press relations, product marketing and brand packaging, leased and owned facilities management including tenant improvement and design/build construction, employee benefits, insurance and all matters legal and financial including bank-lease-vendor funding. Larry Lamb worked directly with, and reported to, most of the leading advertising agencies and their clients worldwide.
